& tho the reason for my absence will ABSOLUTELY be the subject of a future post, today I’m SUPER excited to be bringing you an entirely different cause for celebration — because today my friends is DAISIES DAY!! 🌼🤍🌼
That’s right! March 29, 2025 is the day Linney’s luscious, 2024 solo effort, ‘Daisies’ turns 1 YEAR OLD!!! 🎉🌟🥳
The third single from her subsequently released 8 song ‘We Dance’ EP, ‘Daisies’ is the first fully-produced solo track of Linney’s I ever heard, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction.
A delicate and ultimately hopeful exploration of the panic attacks she began having around the time of her ACL surgery in the fall of 2023, ‘Daisies’ is an exquisite exhibition of Linney’s devotion to her craft as a vocalist, lyricist, composer and producer too! #ArtistwithaCapitalA
Those of you who’ve been around for a while may know that I like to commemorate occasions like this by making art inspired by the song(s) (or album) in question — and I have to say Fam, I’m particularly excited to share what I’ve come up with for this remarkable track. 😁😁😁
So without further adieu, I give you my Hooray for Daisies Day Celebratory Wreath!!!
A 10″ grapevine wreath, affixed with paper daisies, and featuring the single’s cover art along with a graphic of my favourite line from the song, this one of a kind commemorative piece has been given a place of prominence in my home office, the same way the song that inspired it has been given one in my heart … and I’ve got the Spotify Wrapped receipts to prove it. ⬇️
The v. first piece of musically inspired home decor I’ve ever crafted — it seems fitting to have made it for the v. first NovelliFans featured artist I ever travelled internationally to see live — more on that in a future post as well. 🥰
Now I suppose crafting a piece of art inspired by a particular song makes it pretty obv that I think it’s worth a listen, but just in case — if you haven’t already given ‘Daisies’ a spin (or seven), I encourage you to check it out on your favourite streaming platform, and if you like what you hear, consider adding it to your permanent collection.
